Vision Statement

Located in the Rollins Campus Center, the crossroads of the campus, the Zell and Shirley Miller Library is the nexus of learning and inquiry at Young Harris College. Students, faculty and staff work, collaborate and create in our physical and virtual spaces. The library, as a space and as a service, supports all aspects of research and learning at YHC.

Mission Statement

The Zell and Shirley Miller Library facilitates and enhances learning by providing quality resources, engaging instruction, exceptional personal service, and innovative physical and digital spaces for the entire Young Harris College community.

Our principles and priorities include:

  • Organized, developed and relevant resource collections.
  • Instruction in varied formats and approaches teaching resource discovery, and the evaluation, use, creation and management of information.
  • A well-trained, engaged, collegial staff.
  • Space that is safe, comfortable, available and adaptable for student learning needs.
