YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Young Harris College invites the community to attend upcoming Fine Arts events. Events will take place on the YHC campus, which is located at 1 College Street, Young Harris, Georgia 30582, and at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church, which is located at 1114 Main Street, Young Harris, Georgia 30582. You are invited to enjoy the following:
– On Tuesday, April 5 at 7 p.m., the YHC Percussion Ensemble will perform in Glenn~McGinnis Hall. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Saturday, April 9 at 3 p.m., “Acapalooza,” an a capella concert featuring YHC Choirs, will be held in Glenn~McGinnis Hall. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Sunday, April 10 at 3 p.m., the North Georgia Chamber Orchestra will perform in Glenn~McGinnis Hall. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Monday, April 11 at 6 p.m., the Opening Reception for the Spring Senior Thesis Art Exhibition will be held in the Campus Gate Art Gallery. Light refreshments will be served. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– After opening on April 11, the Spring Senior Thesis Art Exhibition will be on display Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. through Thursday, May 5 in the Campus Gate Art Gallery. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Tuesday, April 12 at 7 p.m., the YHC Jazz Band will perform in Glenn~McGinnis Hall. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Tuesday, April 19 at 7 p.m., the YHC Concert Band will perform in the outdoor “Pops on the Plaza” concert. Join us on the Sharp Plaza. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m., Theatre Young Harris will hold the Pay-What-You-Can Preview of “The Wolves,” a play by Sarah DeLappe, in Dobbs Theatre. Donations will be accepted at the door. This event will be open to the public.
– Theatre Young Harris will present showings of “The Wolves” on Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m., Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets will be $10 for General Admission, $5 for seniors 65+, and $5 for individuals with a YHC photo ID. Tickets can be purchased at yhc.edu/boxoffice.
– On Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m., the YHC Brass Ensemble will perform in Glenn~McGinnis Hall. Admission will be free and open to the public.
– On Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. – noon, Fine Arts Scholarship Auditions will be held in Glenn~McGinnis Hall.
– On Tuesday, April 26 at 7 p.m., the BFA Senior Showcase will be held in Dobbs Theatre. Admission will be free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
– On Friday, April 29 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 30 at 3 p.m., the Mountain Community Chorus will perform at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church. Admission will be free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
– On Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m., the Musical Theatre Revue will be held in Dobbs Theatre. Admission will be free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
