YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Young Harris College recently received a gift from long-time donor Ethel Winters of Hiawassee, Georgia as a contribution to the Edward W. Winters Scholarship. This scholarship was established in honor of her late husband to benefit the College’s Bob & Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign. Since 1998, Winters has given $1,000 annually to support local students pursuing an education at YHC.

The Bob & Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign provides scholarship funding for students attending YHC from Fannin, Gilmer, Rabun, Towns and Union counties in Georgia and Cherokee and Clay counties in North Carolina.
