YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Young Harris College recently received a gift from long-time donor Ethel Winters of Hiawassee, Georgia as a contribution to the Edward W. Winters Scholarship, which was established in honor of her late husband to benefit the College’s Local Scholarship Campaign. Since 1998, Winters has given $1,000 annually to support local students pursuing an education at YHC.

The Local Scholarship Campaign provides scholarship funding for more than 200 local students attending YHC from Fannin, Gilmer, Pickens, Rabun, Towns and Union counties in Georgia and Cherokee and Clay counties in North Carolina.
