Rollins Planetarium to Present Laser Concert “Laser U2”
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium at Young Harris College will present “Laser U2” on Friday, April 21, and Friday, April 28, at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Planetarium admission per show is $5 for adults, $3 for students and free with YHC ID. Tickets are available for advanced purchase online at yhc.edu/planetarium or at the door 30 minutes prior to each show.
This entertaining laser presentation showcases one of the greatest bands of the last three decades, U2. The show features timeless classic and modern hits that are set against a backdrop of the latest laser art. Your eyes and ears will be your guides into an immersive journey through the rise and success of the boys from Dublin, including such classics as “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “Beautiful Day,” and “With or Without You.”
Laser concerts are non-astronomy shows containing loud music, flashing lights, spinning stars, and other effects that some may find disruptive. The show is not recommended for those who have conditions that could be aggravated by this experience.
O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium features a state-of-the-art GOTO Chronos Space Simulator star projector with a full-dome digital projection system, the Sky-Skan Definiti, in a 40-foot dome theater with 5.1 surround sound. With comfortable seating for 104, Rollins Planetarium offers public shows and educational opportunities for school groups throughout the year. Rollins Planetarium is located in the Maxwell Center on the YHC campus.
