YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Young Harris College invites the community to attend several fine arts events in April and May. All events will take place on the YHC campus, which is located at 1 College St., Young Harris, Ga. 30582. Enjoy a variety of musical performances, a play and an art exhibition, including the following:

– On Monday, April 1 at 7 p.m., the YHC Brass Ensemble will perform in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

– On Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m., the YHC Concert Band will perform in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. Admission is $5 per person. Children 12 and under and YHC faculty, staff and students can attend for free.

– On Monday, April 8 at 7 p.m., the YHC Percussion Ensemble will perform in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

– On Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 at 3 p.m., Acapalooza, which is a student-led a cappella performance, will take place in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. Admission is $5 per person. Children 12 and under and YHC faculty, staff and students can attend for free.

– On Monday, April 15 at 7 p.m., the YHC Jazz Band will perform in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

– On Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m., the Campus Gate Art Gallery will host an opening reception for the Spring Senior Thesis Art Exhibition. The exhibit will be on display through Thursday, May 9. Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.

– On Tuesday, April 16 at 7 p.m., the YHC Guitar Ensemble will perform in the Susan B. Harris Chapel. Admission is $5 per person. Children 12 and under and YHC faculty, staff and students can attend for free.

– The “Pay What You Can” Preview of Eurydice will be held Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Regular performances will take place Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. A matinee performance will take place on Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 per adult and $5 for seniors 65+ or with a YHC ID. All performances will be held in Dobbs Theatre in Goolsby Center.

– On Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m., the YHC Community Band will host Pops on the Plaza, which is an annual outdoor concert on the Campus Plaza. This event is free and open to the public.

– On Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m., the Mountain Community Chorus will perform in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

– On Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m., YHC students will present a Musical Theatre Revue in Dobbs Theatre in Goolsby Center. Donations to support student travel will be accepted at the door.

– On Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m., the Mountain Community Chorus will perform in Glenn-McGinnis Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
