Young Harris College to Present Percussion Ensemble Concert
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.— The Young Harris College Division of Fine Arts will present a special concert featuring the YHC Percussion Ensemble on Tuesday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in Susan B. Harris Chapel on the YHC campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Comprised of talented students currently studying percussion instruments, the YHC Percussion Ensemble will perform a variety of solo and ensemble pieces from composers Bela Fleck, Joe Green, James Romig and Mark Ford.
Students featured during the performance include senior music education major Nathaniel Arnold, of Young Harris, Ga., senior music major Patricia Gallagher, of Jasper, Ga., junior communication studies major Brandon Robinson, of Silver Creek, Ga., and freshman music education majors Kirkland Godfrey, of Blue Ridge, Ga., Moon Hamilton, of Atlanta, Ga., and Zachary Sutton, of Alto, Ga.
The group is directed by YHC Adjunct Instructor of Music Dr. Jillian Baxter.
