Young Harris College Students Inducted Into Alpha Chi National Honor Society

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Twenty-two Young Harris College students were recently inducted into the Georgia Xi chapter of national honor society Alpha Chi during a special ceremony held in Susan B. Harris Chapel on the YHC campus.

The new members include junior business and public policy major Madison Barnes, of Blairsville, Ga., junior business and public policy major Briana Bell, of Stone Mountain, Ga., junior creative writing major Morgan Bilicki, of Blairsville, Ga., junior communication studies major Christie Blaurock, of Dacula, Ga., junior mathematics major Reece Brooks, of Lawrenceville, Ga., junior English and creative writing major Katherine Eitel, of Cumming, Ga., junior psychology major Lindsey Hardy, of Rome, Ga., senior art major Katelyn Jett, of Carlton, Ga., junior theatre major Hannah Johnson, of Marietta, Ga., junior biology major Samantha Jones, of Rome, Ga., junior biology major Candler Kimsey, of Sautee, Ga., junior business and public policy major Matthew Ledon, of Duluth, Ga., junior Spanish major Whitney Moore, of Monroe, Ga., senior music education Emily Nix, of Winder, Ga., junior interdisciplinary studies major JeanieMarie Perrucci, of Duluth, Ga., junior biology major Yazmin Ramos, of Chatsworth, Ga., junior religious studies major James Rogers, of Hayesville, N.C., junior chemistry major Emily Royal, of Fitzgerald, Ga., junior communication studies major Maggie Sproston, of Athens, Ga., senior psychology major Nicole Wasko, of Blairsville, Ga. junior communication studies major Allie Weldon, of Athens, Ga. and junior history major Jada Williams, of Snellville, Ga.

Membership in Alpha Chi is limited to no more than 10 percent of the junior and senior classes. The objectives of Alpha Chi are to promote and recognize superior scholarship and those elements of character which make scholarship effective for service. Founded in 1922, the society has more than 300 chapters. Membership is the highest academic honor on campus.
