Young Harris College Welcomes New Members to Board of Trustees

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Young Harris College recently welcomed Eustace “Mac” McCannon, YHC Class of ’60, and Mickey Dunn as members of its Board of Trustees.

“We are so pleased to welcome Eustace and Mickey to the Board,” said YHC President Cathy Cox. “Our Board of Trustees represents a broad spectrum of perspectives and expertise, and I am excited to see what our new members will accomplish for Young Harris College.”

A YHC alumnus and native of Oglethorpe County, Ga., Eustace “Mac” McCannon, served as a certified public accountant in Georgia and South Carolina for 28 years before retiring in 1995. He currently resides in Greensboro, Ga., and is an avid cyclist, tennis player and golfer.

A native of Murray County, Ga., Mickey Dunn serves as the president and CEO of ML Industries, Inc., North America’s largest privately owned independent airbag manufacturer. Dunn was recently inducted into the Murray County High School Hall of Fame as well as Southern Polytechnic State University’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Community Bank of Pickens County. Dunn calls both Aspen, Colo., and McAllen, Texas, his current home.

YHC’s Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership to the College by employing its members’ expertise in areas ranging from finance to philanthropy. As members of the governing board of YHC, Trustees are responsible for basic oversight and governance of the institution including educational and fiscal policy, the granting of degrees, and promotion and tenure of faculty.
