Georgia Assessments for Certification of Educators

The Program Admission Assessment is required for entrance into the Young Harris College Teacher Preparation Program. The Program Admission Assessment ensures applicants have the basic skills necessary to succeed in the program and is comprised of three parts: Reading, Mathematics and Writing. All components must be passed prior to admission into the Teacher Preparation Program. Applicants may exempt the Program Admission Assessment with one the following test scores :

Initial Certification Programs

The Teacher Preparation Program includes degree programs and initial certification in:

Early Childhood Education (P-5)

The Bachelor of Science degree in Education (Early Childhood Education) provides course work, advisement and field and clinical experiences leading to public school certification in grades P-5.
