Undergraduate Research Day
CUREs (Course-based Research Experiences) introduce students to research in a particular discipline.
MREs (Mentored research experiences) are student-led independent projects that work one-on-one with faculty.
Apply for Undergraduate Research
If you’re applying for a CURE or MRE grant, turn in your application by the first Monday in August for fall or the first Monday in January for spring. Send your completed application to the Director of Undergraduate Research.
Research Grant
Awards
Faculty can get up to $1,000 to create and run a CURE, or up to $500 for an MRE. These funds can cover things like supplies, equipment, field trips, or helping students share their research at conferences.
“The opportunities that this program has gifted me have opened many doors and provided me with the tools a researcher needs that many do not acquire until the master’s or doctorate level."
Ashley Palmateer | B.S. in Psychology, 2024
