Every year, thousands of gifts from alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, students, and foundations help shape the Young Harris College experience.

Young Harris Fund

Gifts made to the Young Harris Fund go to work immediately to meet Young Harris College’s most important needs and priorities. Unrestricted gifts through the Young Harris Fund give the president and academic administrators critical flexibility to spend gifts where the need is greatest or when special opportunities arise.

Class Scholarship Challenge

The Class Scholarship Challenge engages our alumni in friendly competition as classes go head-to-head by getting as many donors from their class as possible. The Class Scholarship Challenge directly supports the next generation of up-and-coming students choosing Young Harris as their next step in life. Like our alumni, our students are passionate about YHC and the impact they will make after their time here.

Local Scholarship Campaign

For more than a decade, the Bob and Carol Local Scholarship Campaign (LSC) at Young Harris College has given local students the opportunity to learn, grow and excel in the Enchanted Valley. Because of Bob and Carol Head’s dedication to and support of local YHC students over the years, YHC renamed the LSC the Bob and Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign.

Friends of the Arts

Friends of the Arts (FOTA) supports the College’s commitment to enable student growth and learning in an uncompromised environment for artistic and academic freedom and integrity. Membership in FOTA enables the College’s Division of Fine Arts to continue offering quality programming that benefits students and enhances the local culture.

Clay Dotson Open

The annual Clay Dotson Open supports local student scholarships. Held at Brasstown Valley Resort, this event is celebrating 20 years in 2024!Your generous support of this event allows YHC students the opportunity to achieve their academic pursuits and become part of the YHC legacy.

Endowed Giving

Donors who choose to create an endowment have an opportunity to support Young Harris College both during their lifetime and for generations to come. Many choose to establish an endowed fund to honor a loved one or to memorialize an important figure in their life, ensuring that their name and generosity will forever be a guiding force in YHC’s success.

Engrave a Brick

Leave more than a memory at Young Harris College. Honor friends, loved ones, your graduating class, or favorite organization by engraving their name on a brick paver. You can even buy a piece of history for yourself. Each brick is $100 and all inscriptions are subject to approval.

1886 Society

Unrestricted and restricted gifts of $1,000 or more made during the College’s fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) qualify you for 1886 Young Harris Society membership.

Clay Dotson Open

Held at the beautiful Brasstown Valley Resort, this golf tournament benefits student scholarships at Young Harris College. Nearly 100 percent of YHC students receive some form of financial assistance. All proceeds from the tournament go toward student scholarships.
