Mental health matters

Mental health is an essential part of overall wellbeing. Mental illness, addictions, and other challenges can emerge in response to college stress. The counseling center is a nonjudgmental and safe space that assists all students. Any concern of a student is regarded as important and is treated with respect.

Counseling Center services

  • Free and confidential individual, couples, family, and group counseling
  • Presentations, workshops, and resources on mental health and wellbeing
  • Referrals to local providers for long term treatment, medication management, and/or psychological evaluation as needed

Counseling sessions range from one brief meeting to ongoing 50-minute sessions, up to 12 sessions per school year.

When you arrive

Upon entering the Student Success Center, check in on the computer at the main desk. Then have a seat in the waiting area.

Telehealth counseling services

Are ‘in person’ counseling services not for you? Would you like to speak with a licensed clinician immediately rather than wait for an appointment?

If so, you can also access free, 24/7 virtual counseling services through the Virtual Care Group. To activate your account, enter your last name, date of birth and school zip code 30582. You can also reach 24/7 customer support at 866-533-1827.
