Young Harris College student Jill Davis, Class of 2023, received the McCollough Scholarship to spend approximately six weeks of this summer at Cambridge University’s Wesley House, the Methodist college in Cambridge, England.

Young Harris College Science Students Win Top Prizes at Georgia Academy of Science Meeting

Young Harris College students Veronica Pablo Raymundo and Jordan Pandolph won two top prizes at the Georgia Academy of Science (GAS) annual meeting in March. Young Harris College Assistant Professor of Communication Dr. Joshua Guitar recently published his first book, Dissent, Discourse, and Democracy: Whistleblowers as Sites of Political Contestation, in which he critiques prominent government whistleblowing discourses and theorizes the concept of “abstruction.” Just months after the book’s release, Guitar was awarded the James Madison Prize for Outstanding Research in First Amendment Studies by the Southern States Communication Association (SSCA).

Rebecca Baker Named the 2022 Woodward Scholar at Young Harris College

Rebecca Baker, 2023, of Dacula, Georgia, was recently awarded the Beverly Barrow Woodward, 1953, Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship was established by Leonard and Beverly Woodward of Rome, Georgia, and it is granted annually to one YHC student to study abroad in England at Harlaxton College.
